1956 Ford Shoot

May 18th, 2008 by Jeff Cross

1956 FordI recently had the opportunity to photograph a friend’s dad’s 1956 Ford. This car was beautiful inside and out. The shoot went very well, as you can see by the image to the right, and I am very impressed with the outcome, as is the owner.

Fruitful Studios is beginning to shoot more and more vehicles and we are very excited about this addition to our portfolio and service offerings. Shooting vehicles is a pleasure to do. Seeing the nice vehicles, talking with the owners, and trying to capture the vehicle in all its glory is a lot of fun!

As I have said before, there will be a section in our Portfolio very soon for vehicles. We have had the opportunity to shoot some very impressive vehicles and have more shoots scheduled for the very near future. We are excited about showing our clients and potential clients the work we have been doing with these well manicured machines.

If you have an interest in having your vehicle photographed, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We would be more than happy to do this for you and help you proudly display your vehicle for years to come.

Until next time…

The Fabulous 40 And Under

May 17th, 2008 by Jeff Cross

Fabulous - 40 and UnderJosh Lawrence, a good friend of mine and an excellent all-around musician, has been selected for the Four States Living Magazine’s (FSLM) “Fabulous 40 and Under” in Texarkana. Josh was nominated by the community and then the editorial staff of FSLM chooses 40 individuals from the nominees.

I think this is a great accomplishment for Josh and am very proud of him. His jazz group, The Josh Lawrence Trio, and his dueling pianos gig, 2 Pianos with Dr. Paul Whitt, plays a number of fund raisers and other community events around the Texarkana, Texas and Arkansas area each month.

So, with Josh being given this opportunity to shine, he decided to give me a little moment in the spotlight as well (riding coattails is what it’s called, I believe). Josh asked me to take his photo for the publication, which will be on news stands June 2nd, 2008. In addition to taking Josh’s photo, he also negotiated with the FSLM to have a “byline” with my information and a link to my Web site. Nice!

So, congratulations to Josh for being nominated and selected for this honor. Also, a huge thank you to Josh for allowing me a little free advertising in a great magazine read by a large majority of our community.

Until next time…

Fruitful Studios’ Assistant, Lorie

May 16th, 2008 by Jeff Cross

Lorie Candid ShootLorie, the official Fruitful Studios Assistant, and I went out and about doing some shooting a while back. A number of her recent photos have been posted to the Portfolio under the Ladies section.

Pages 4 and 5 of the Portfolio have been updated with a number of shots. Lorie and I have been doing a lot of experimenting with different camera and lighting techniques (more about that in a future post). Lorie is very photogenic and beautiful which helps tremendously when it comes to experimenting with new ideas, poses, and locations.

Lorie also has a great idea for our clients when it comes to posing in locations. Certain poses work well in certain situations where others do not. She has a good eye for this and is a great asset to Fruitful Studios.

I truly enjoy working with Lorie and look forward to every shoot she is scheduled and able to attend. Thank you, Lorie, for all that you do to help and allowing me to use you as a “guinea pig” for trying out new ideas and techniques!

Until next time…
